The label at a glance

What it is called
The “AI” tag, shown beside the display name.
Where you set it
You choose it when you sign up as a creator: Become a Creator → Creator Type → AI Creator.
When you need it
Any AI-generated media. It does not have to look realistic, and there is no exception for using AI only as a tool. The Human Creator type is only for creators who use no AI tools at all.
If you skip it
Not saying that your content is AI “may result in your content being removed and/or your account being suspended”. Fanvue’s list of penalties also includes a deduction from your earnings. Fanvue’s Acceptable Use Policy (version of 25 September 2026) adds a rule for your public profile: an AI profile picture, banner or intro video without a clear AI label takes your profile off Discover until you fix it. The second time, the whole profile is hidden from public view.
Labels AI by itself?
Not documented.

You have to do two things. First, carry the account tag. Second, label the content itself. That label must be “clear and prominent” in the bio, the caption or as a watermark. AI creators also go through full KYC (the identity check) with a government ID and a liveness selfie. So every persona is tied to a real person who is responsible for it.

What this means for you

Fanvue says clearly that AI creators are allowed. You choose the account type when you sign up, under Become a Creator and then Creator Type. It shows an “AI” tag beside your display name. Any AI-generated media counts. It does not have to look realistic, and there is no exception for using AI only as a tool. The Human Creator type is only for creators who use no AI tools at all.

You have to label in two ways. The first is the account tag. The second is a label on the content itself, which must be “clear and prominent” in the bio, the caption or as a watermark. Not labelling “may result in your content being removed and/or your account being suspended”. Fanvue’s list of penalties also includes a deduction from your earnings. AI creators still go through full identity verification with a government ID and a liveness selfie. That ties every persona to a real person who is responsible for it.

Your public profile has its own rule. Fanvue’s Acceptable Use Policy (version of 25 September 2026) says AI imagery in your profile picture, banner or intro video needs a clear AI label. Without it, your profile is taken off Discover until you fix it. The second time, the whole profile is hidden from public view. Fanvue says this does not delete your content or touch your earnings from existing subscribers.

The earning rate can change too. Creators who joined in 2022 were offered an 85% rate. It ended on 4 May 2026, and those accounts moved to the standard 80%. Nothing about the accounts themselves had changed.

When you can withdraw your money

You cannot withdraw a sale on the day it happens. The money first sits in your pending balance, usually for 7 days. If the fan has not verified their email address, it can take up to 30 days. After that it moves to your available balance. Plan with the longer wait.

To withdraw, you need at least $20 in your available balance. Fanvue says the minimum can differ by region. The payout then takes 3–5 business days, according to Fanvue Help — How to receive a payout on Fanvue (opens in a new tab), read .

What changed, and when

  1. The 85% founding earning rate ended

The 85% rate offered to creators who joined in 2022 ended. Those accounts moved to the standard 80%. Nothing about the accounts changed, but a fifth of every dollar no longer goes to the creator. It is the clearest example on this page that a payout rate you plan with can change.

  2. AI voice calls announced, not yet live

Fanvue announced a feature for subscribers: a fan can talk to an AI version of the creator, in the creator’s own cloned or designed voice. The app shows whether a call is AI or live. Fanvue says the feature "will soon be coming". What exists today is the AI Self setup and AI voice notes. Do not plan your work around the calls until they are live.
