Real person with this name?
Press Check under a name to get its profile links. A profile that opens means the handle is taken there. A search result about a real person with a following means: pick another name. No list can know every real person, so the check is yours to do.

How to use the name generator
- Choose how the name should sound, the persona and the format. Leave the niche on “No niche” if the persona might change topics later.
- Read the eight ideas out loud. Cross out any you would have to spell for someone.
- For each name you like, open the three search links. If one real person with a following fills the first results, move on.
- Press Check under the name, then open the four links for its handle. A page that shows a profile means the handle is taken there.
- Press Show different names for a new set. Use Copy link to this result to keep a set you like.
A worked example
A travel persona that should sound French, with a short first name and the niche in the handle. These are the first three ideas the generator gives for those choices:
- Manon
- @manontravels or @manon_travels
- Elise
- @elisetravels or @elise_travels
- Lou
- @loutravels or @lou_travels
Then the check. Search each name in quotes. A first name alone, such as Manon, matches thousands of people, so the search tells you little. That is fine: what matters is the handle and whether one famous person owns the name. Next, press Check under the name and open the four links for @manontravels. If it is free on all four, register it everywhere on the same day.
Open this example in the generatorWhy the real-person check matters
A name that leads searchers to a real, known person causes two problems. People may report your account as an impersonation. And on Fanvue, the platform we use and recommend, the AI rules are explicit about real people:
AI-generated media on Fanvue “must not be of a real person other than the account owner”, and must not show a person who resembles or intends to resemble an individual under the age of 18.
Fanvue Help — is AI content allowed on Fanvue (opens in a new tab)checked
A common first name is not the problem. Thousands of people are called Isla. The problem is a full name, or a first name plus a look, that points to one person. Check the face too: the naming checklist in the starter kit has that step.
Why the handles are short
The generator writes handles with letters, numbers and underscores only, and at most 15 characters. X has the strictest rules of the four platforms it checks:
“Your username cannot be longer than 15 characters.” “A username can only contain alphanumeric characters (letters A-Z, numbers 0-9) with the exception of underscores.”
X Help Center — Help with username registration (opens in a new tab)checked
A handle that fits these rules also works on Instagram, TikTok and Fanvue, so fans find the persona under one name everywhere. The handles never contain a number. A year in a handle reads like a birth year, and nothing about the persona should suggest someone under 18.
Who checked this, and when
Gus, who runs AI OFM City, checked this page. The handle rules were read again on X's help page, the profile link patterns were opened on each platform, and the worked example was run through the generator. Last checked: .

Questions people ask
How do I choose a name for an AI influencer?
Pick a first name people can spell after hearing it once, and one handle you can use on every platform. Then check two things before you register anything: that the handle is free, and that no real person with an audience already uses the name.
Can my AI influencer use the name of a real person?
Do not do it. Fanvue says AI-generated media must not be of a real person other than the account owner, and a famous name invites impersonation reports on every platform. A common name is fine. A name that leads searchers to one real, known person is the risk.
Why does the generator keep handles to 15 characters?
X allows at most 15 characters in a username, and only letters, numbers and underscores. A handle that fits those rules can be the same on X, Instagram, TikTok and Fanvue, so fans find the persona under one name everywhere.
Does the name generator send or save what I choose?
No. The names come from lists inside the page, and the same choices always give the same names. Your choices are written into the address bar so you can share the result. Nothing is stored, and nothing leaves the page until you click one of the check links.
Should the name say that the influencer is AI?
It does not have to. The AI label belongs in the platform settings, the bio and on the content, as the AI label matrix shows for each platform. A name with "AI" in it does not replace any of those labels.
